DESTINY ANGELS

Church Partnership

There is an opportunity for churches to partner with us to enhance the quality of life of individuals and communities. Destiny Angels helpline creates a unique and important link between church and local community life. Calls are initially answered at our main call centre by a team of trained individuals. Individual churches are then asked to respond to any requests for help from their surrounding area.

If your church is interested in partnering with us, please get in touch with us through our CONTACT form.

"Castlemilk Community ChurchThe members of Castlemilk Community Church in Glasgow are enthusiastic about making contact with people in the local community whom they might be able to help. We're a small group of people with 'ordinary skills' that we want to use to show the love of Jesus to the people of Castlemilk. We can hang curtains, dig gardens, move furniture, help with computer issues or just visit and chat; we'll pray if that's what people want, however, we are happy just to offer practical support. A partnership with Destiny Angels is a perfect match for us; we won't have to set it all up ourselves and we will only take on what we can manage to do. We're looking forward to having our training and getting started."

Destiny Church Stirling"Destiny Stirling lanched on Easter Sunday this year. Currently, there are 13 volunteers and not all from within Destiny Church, which is a real encouragement and a testimony to a powerful vision of the project. The storehouse is in the process of being set up in the new Destiny Stirling building and the response of the church in bringing goods for it has been fantastic. Networking, promotion and advertising are keeping the team busy at the moment and all are looking forward to becoming more active and involved in the community in the near future as Destiny Angels Stirling takes off."

"Destiny Church EdinburghDestiny Angels started in Edinburgh in January 2008. It has been and exciting journey since then. In our first year we recieved over 400 requests for help. We found that in Scotland's capital, people are going hungry with over a quarter of our requests being for food. 2008 also saw us a building vital and strong relationships with other organisations working in the city. 2009 promises more good things for Destiny Angels Edinburgh and those that calls us for help. This year the addition of a second volunteer co-ordinator, an administrator and a foodstore co-ordinator will provide more room for growth and strength as we reach out to more people in beed in Edinburgh."

Destiny Church Glasgow"We have a fantastic team of volunteers at Glasgow- they bring a range of skills to the project as well as their time and concern for individuals. We have provided help in a variety of situations, ranging from painting & decorating to helping move heavy furniture. I'm priviledged to have a birds eye view of the care and concern that come from the church in general. Whenever there is a need, the church generously responds. We appealed for toys at Chirstmas and the response was heart-warming."

REFLECTIONS

"Past the seeker as he prayed came the crippled and the beggar and the beaten. And seeing them... he cried, "Great God, how is it that a loving creator can see such things and yet do nothing about them?" God said, "I did do something. I made you." ~Author Unknown
