About Destiny Angels

Destiny AngelsThe Destiny Angels service gives people the time to speak freely about what is bothering them with a calm individual who is able to offer immediate prayer support, provide practical solutions and signpost to other services, where appropriate.

Through the local church setting people have the opportunity to make friends and develop a more meaningful life, although no-one is compelled to attend church. This is a 'no strings attached' initiative. The unique aspect of this service is the combination of practical and spiritual support offered.

Why Destiny Angels?

The destructive effects of poverty, particularly isolation and feelings of worthlessness, experienced by those marginalised by a lack of productive participation in society need to be addressed.

REFLECTIONS

"Sometime in your life, hope that you might see one starved man, the look on his face when the bread finally arrives. Hope that you might have baked it or bought or even kneaded it yourself. For that look on his face, for your meeting his eyes across a piece of bread, you might be willing to lose a lot, or suffer a lot, or die a little, even." ~Daniel Berrigan
